Mentre si parla sempre più frequentemente di Mass Effect 2, BioWare ha annunciato il lancio di un'espansione per il primo capitolo della serie.
L'espansione è chiamata Mass Effect: Pinnacle Station e da quanto dichiarato porterà i giocatori a scontrarsi contro nuovi nemici e a scoprire una nuova ambientazione.

La versione per PC dell'espansione richiede che sia installata la patch 1.02 e può essere acquistata per 5 dollari sul sito http://eastore.ea.com.
